As part of the Octopus Group’s rebrand, we were asked to create a series of idents for their new website.
The client wanted their logo to appear in various mediums to represent how they bring ideas together for their own clients.
HOW WE DID IT
Each effect was created entirely in-camera, so required an understanding of how to manipulate unique materials in the way the client wanted.
We did some experimenting and once we had achieved good results in the workshop, we built a series of jigs and moulds so that we could control each transformation repeatedly and identically once in the studio.
All the idents were shot in one day. We built a single modular unit that each ident’s setup fitted onto to minimise the changes required for lighting and camera.
