The Power of Protection
We played with the power of perception and forced perspective to create stimulating visuals for Kaspersky internet security. We depicted various objects such as a broom, robot, and fish hook by suspending multiple pieces from above. It was a tricky and painstakingly delicate build.
HOW WE DID IT
The crucial part of this job was accurate prop placement because everything had to line up exactly to create the final shots.
The robot for instance had 26 parts that all required precise placement. We used detailed pre-visuals as references and built from a fixed camera position from a dioptre. Objects down-stage were fairly forgiving in terms of placement, however, foreground items had to be positioned to the millimetre else they were wildly out of place. The necessity for accuracy was such that the smaller objects required weighting to stop drafts from the moving camera swinging them out of position.
