THE DETAILS
We were asked to build a paper theatre for the 2016 ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ promotional trailer, into which the presenters could later be composited.
The theatre’s components were interchangeable to allow for actions such as curtain drops. This feature also enabled the walls to be easily moved and adjusted when using different camera lenses.
We also replicated part of the filming location for the scene with the hand going through the window.

HOW WE DID IT
We designed and CNC routed the theatre chassis. Lots of components were being moved around the tiny set, so providing a solid structure was essential.
The provided artwork was hand-cut and bonded onto the chassis.
Additional design features allowed the miniature scenery pieces to move up and down the raked floor easily.
