Adobe Summit

The Details
This colourful geometric set -piece formed part of the backdrop and identity for Adobe’s 2018 Summit event.
At 5m x 3m, this geometric backdrop was constructed from over 100 individual tessellating extrusions, reaching out an imposing 1.5m.
Made with a combination of traditional handcrafted techniques and precision CNC, each piece was lovingly translated from illustrator files into the real world.

HOW WE DID IT
We were able to extract the vector data from the original concept renders. This vector data allowed us to CNC route all of the component parts to form a giant geometric jigsaw puzzle.
The basic tiles were constructed from MDF with longer extrusions constructed in box form to reduce the over hanging weight.
The modular design meant that the entire wall could be packed and air freighted to the Summit event in Vegas for a local crew to assemble.
